Tofino, Day 4 "Let it Rain"

Olivia from Alberta was camped next door. She and Luna wasted no time making friends. Luna invaded, I mean visited, her campsite last night, so we returned the favor as her parents tried to pack up before the rain came. They had fun being silly, reading, and writing in Luna's workbooks.

The girls wasted no time getting down and dirty once Olivia left. Right back into the trees.

This walking thing is TOUGH!

Luna explorer is all dressed up for the rain forest adventure.  The rain stayed away most of the week but came on with a vengeance today.

Gracie is too!

Whoaaa! The boardwalks are slippery!

I love my treehuggers.

Balancing!

Coming down to greet daddy and grandpa after their paddle.

We made it! Incredible scenery capped off with a visit from river otter.

Hi grandpa!

And next was a visit to the Tofino Botanical Garden. Another place you MUST visit if you make it here.

Having some fun in the children's garden, where adults must be accompanied by a child.

Time to head home. Daddy had this look on his face, too.

We were all feeling better after a stop for some coffee and a photoshoot at Surf Sister!

Awesome orca sculpture in a park in Nanaimo.

Grace is hanging in there after another long day in the car.

Luna is winning at car bingo.

I'm going to look happy even though I am miserable. I want to be back in Tofino!

She's almost out.

"Mom, Dad, we should have gone here! Is it too late to go back?"

It was a really wonderful trip and a fantastic way to start the summer. We're looking forward to the rest of it.
