A Snowy Thanksgiving

This year we headed over mountains to Leavenworth to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Eleven of us spent the weekend relaxing, playing in the snow and hottubbing.  Oh yeah, and we ate some darn good food too!

Luna loved putting stickers all over Daddy

Afternoon Playdate

We met up with Marcus, Jada & Jenny this morning and headed south out of snowy Bellingham to visit friends in Snohomish.  It was afternoon full of kids play & mom's reconnecting.  Thanks Ellie for organizing & hosting!

Cheddar Bunnies were a big hit with the girls

Marcus wasn't feeling well, so Luna decided to give him a back rub to feel better

Group shot! Luna, Marcus, Jada, Arielle & Claudia.

November is already here!

First snow of the season!

Gus loves it.

"Whoa! It's snowy!"

Luna's two year check up at Children's Hospital in Seattle was this week. Mom and dad were a bit of a wreck but in traditional Luna form, she was a trooper. "I going to the dop-tor. He listen to my heart. It go lub-dub, lub-dub, lub-dub." The Dora The Explorer: Going to the Doctor book was a lot of help.

The tech told us that after bringing video into the clinic, their sedation rate for kids during ultrasound went down 85%. Yes, you read that correctly, 85%. What does that tell us about what TV does to kids' brains? Okay, I'll get off my soap box. I guess TV has it's uses, and I would rather that she was watching TV for this procedure instead of needing to be sedated.

Here she is enjoying Wiggles.

Chillin' with mommy during the echo.

"Princess stickers!"

She hardly even stirred and even remembered to say "thank you" when they were finished. That's our girl.

And great news...BOTH holes have closed up. Luna has a clean bill of health and will not need to go back to Children's for this again. Whew!

Happy Halloween!
