Snow Day

We headed up to Mt. Baker on Monday to have a family snow day.  It actually was more like a family snow hour, but hey, that's OK.  Luna loves the idea of snow, but isn't a huge fan of the real deal.  We figured out finally that the snow wasn't what she disliked as much as the sledding, so on our next trip we'll try less sled time and more play time.  Dad had a great time sledding though, even if Luna didn't.

The snow was a bit deep.  Luna kept saying "I'm stuck!"

Luna did not even want to be dragged back to the car in the sled....note the covered eyes again

Merry Christmas!

Luna decided to get up at 4:30 on Christmas Eve so we thought we would make the most of it and head out for breakfast before going down to Anacortes.  Unfortunately for us (although, in the big picture a very nice gesture by the local business towards their employees) we had a hard time finding anyplace open.  We finally ended up at our favorite breakfast spot, Little Cheerful, but not without making a few stops along the way.

Luna added a new ornament from Grammy onto our Christmas Tree

We spent Christmas Eve night in Anacortes with Oma, Grandpa & Grammy.  Luna did us a favor and slept much later Christmas morning and was in no rush to head into the house to see what Santa had brought (she really had no idea what awaited her).

After opening her first gift......
...Luna sat down and started reading!  I love it:)

Uncle Pat got a new book to read to his baby; Luna thought he should practice on her first.
Check out my new hat!  Thanks Oma & Grandpa.

Luna also delivered our gifts.  What a great helper!

Thanks for the new sleeping bag Grandpa Pahl & Grandma Teri!
Luna spent lots of time hanging out in her new mummy bag.

Uncle Pat & Auntie Steph tag-teamed reading another new book.

Luna got a new 'do

Luna finally got rid of the mullet just in time for Christmas.  She was such a big girl going to the hair salon and looks like a whole new kid with her new stylish hair cut!

Spraying water is a great distraction!

Small piece of hair on the tongue....yuck!

So much fun

Holiday Traditions: LaConner Boat Parade

We met Uncle Ken & Auntie Steph in LaConner again this year to watch the lighted boat parade.  Oma, Grandpa & Grammy joined us as well for a fun evening of visiting and holiday cheer.  The boats were impressive (although pictures don't do them justice). Auntie Steph made us a new batch of Nuts & Bolts (yum!) and we had a great time singing holiday songs with the carolers on the boat.

Posing for Holiday Pictures

Brian tried to get a few holiday shots of the girl for some photo gifts we were assembling.  A few turned out OK, but she was cracking us up with her ability to pose and be a total ham in front of the camera.  Wonder where she gets that from?
