It's Spring Break!

Momma's on Spring Break so the blog is finally getting updated. Sorry for taking so long in between posts, but life has been a bit busy in our household. The girl is trying to crawl (although she is moving backwards, not forwards) and is starting to branch out in her culinary adventures - sweet potatoes were tested out this past week. Luna's pesky cold turned into a full blown ear infection so we got introduced to amoxicillin for the first time. Luckily, Luna weathered the sickness like a champ and was able to celebrate Grandma Larson's 91st birthday on Sunday at Uncle Ken & Auntie Stephanie's house.

It's finally spring!
Not so sure about those sweet potatoes

Cheeks

There is one word that keeps coming up when folks meet Luna: cheeks! I wonder why?
Trying on hats to see what might still fit... not this one! Our little Ani Difranco fan
The tongue is out all the time...
Luna was so happy when her mom & dad finally bought her a "Circle of Neglect". Even without the toys, she was having lots of fun

Stylin' Profilin'

Some pics of the girl from the week of March 12-19th... she's starting to show off her personality more and more each day. We're loving it!

Sitting pretty in Uncle Bob's new chairLuna and her lovey (Uncle Bob thought it would be funny to put it on her head)
Okay, she's not happy ALL the time, but it sure seems like it
There's the smile we love
Not quite sitting up on her own, she needs to use her infant seat...
...although she prefers to try to flip out of it
Everything looks better upside down!
Getting ready for bed

Luna loves her tummy time
What the...? I can't stop laughing every time I see this so I had to share the fun

Playing Catch-up

It has been a l-o-n-g time since we last shared some pictures so pardon the "photo purge" on this post. Since the last post, Luna has started to branch out from breast milk, we visited Uncle Pat & Aunt Emily, she caught her first cold, Brian and I went away for a "parent only" weekend (thanks Mom & Dad for babystitting) and Luna continues to grow like crazy. At her 6 month check up Friday afternoon, Luna weighed in at 18 pounds 6 oz (90th percentile for those of you keeping score) and 27 1/2" long (95th percentile; she definately takes after her Auntie Emily!). Our little girl ain't so little any more...
Here's what you all come here for anyway: photos of the babe.
Even being sick couldn't keep that smile away!
The first "real" feeding
We decided she should eat in the buff, easier to clean up
The bowl tasted just as good as the cereal
Play time with Daddy
Luna laughing at pictures of herself
Luna loves her Uncle Pat
...and Aunt Emily!
Can't get enought of those kisses
Luna couldn't keep her eyes off Uncle Pat
Being sick isn't very fun

Everything eventually ends up in the mouth
Future lunch lady or nun?
Messing around with Dad on the changing table
Daddy's so funny!
Luna's new nickname around our house is Chubs
Feeding is so much easier with our sweet new spoon
(hey all you mommies out there, we love this spoon!)
Luna loves it too!
Luna's new favorite body part is her feet, which finally made it into her mouth yesterday
