Daddy tells me you really like cards. Well, I got you one of those, but I thought I would write you a little something on the blog, too. Um, I have never known any other mommies before, but I think you are a pretty good one. I am so glad you are MY mommy. Thanks for everything you have done for me. You feed me ANY time I am hungry, even when you don't look so awake. You sing funny songs to me (that one about daddy - "fee fi fo fatty" - cracks me up! You read me books. You're even trying to teach me sign language. Wow, it's tough, but I think I'll get it sooner or later. The thing I love most about you is that you take such good care of me. I feel so safe and loved when I am with you. Thank you, mommy.

We have roll over!!!

Happy President's Day, eh?

In celebration of President's Day we decided to leave the country and head up to Canada for a few hours. It was Luna's second trip north of the boarder and we had a great time hanging out on Granville Island. It was a gloriously sunny day (cold, but clear) and we enjoyed eating lunch from the public market and just taking in the sights and sounds.

5 Months Old Today

Dadddy is home sick again today. Even though I feel like crap, it's great being home with my little girl. I'm still amazed by her. I still think "Wow, WE made her. She is SO beautiful, so HAPPY." She gets the biggest smile on her face and waves her arms and shakes her body when we go in to get her in the morning. She greets us the same way after naps and at the end of the day after work. She really loves us. It's wonderful. And we love her, too. Oh, do we love our sweet, little Luna Clare. It brings me to tears writing this. I am so lucky to have Luna and her mommy in my life. So lucky. I wish I could blame the drugs on me being a blubbering idiot, but those of you who know me...

Back to Work

This week I started back to work. We are so lucky to have two great "daycare" situations for Luna: two days a week with her Oma and Grandpa and three days with our friend Susan and Norah. Nonetheless, it will be an adjustment for all of us. Luna has rolled with the changes (although she has started waking up at night again), and seems to be happy no matter what. We are so lucky! She continues to amaze me daily and bring me endless joy. Here's some of the fun we have been up to this week.

Week in Review

Luna had another busy week. We got out and about on several walks and had fun visiting friends and family. Here are some pictures from the week.

Urban Hike

Luna made it out for several walks this week, including a nice long "urban hike" with Susan and Maya. Although a water bottle and a few snacks (for the moms) would have been great, Maya and Luna had a great time getting some fresh air. It was our first try at forward facing in the stroller and I think she enjoyed the view. Actually she slept for most of the adventure, but forward facing still seemed like a success. Gus had a good time too!
